@Suzie: Hi. Sorry to hear you are having problems with your
WordPress site. For SiteSubscribe.com customers I host their
WordPress website/blog for a low monthly subscription, and
WordPress Technical Support is also included at no additional cost!
So if you need WordPress tech support it would probably cost you
less to just become a SiteSubscribe customer. I think this is your
best option. There would be a small setup charge:
>>With SiteSubscribe I could set your site up for as
little as $50 if you have an existing site/blog (in this case we
are just moving it over to us). We could just move your existing
WordPress.org site/blog over to our SiteSubscribe hosting.
>>Or with SiteSubscribe you also have the option of a
$250 one time setup to build a professional WordPress website for
you from scratch. Then there is a monthly subscription for
SiteSubscribe membership for continued hosting, maintenance, and
tech support: >>Monthly subscription cost is about
$21 per month for SiteSubscribe membership. >>If you
could move your site over to SiteSubscribe, you get a '.com' domain
for your site for free, your WordPress site/blog is professionally
hosted, you get access to hundreds of plugins (many are premium),
access to hundreds of premium themes, all plugins and themes are
maintained and kept up-to-date, and tech support is included! See
http://SiteSubscribe.com for
more details. I can, however, also provide WordPress Technical
Support for WordPress.org sites (a.k.a. not 'self-hosted'). For
example: http://wordpress.org/yoursite/
In such a case I would charge on a case-by-case basis for each
issue, starting at $75 per case. This includes the first hour, then
$50 for each additional hour required from there based on how hard
to troubleshoot your issue. Again, I think becoming a SiteSubscribe
customer is the best way to go rather than this route. Let me know
how I can help. Thanks, ~Jeff MileHighTechGuy

Nice info. I need clarification here, I have wordpress.org, not
.com. Is your tech support service geared for that? I have my own
hosting too. My issue is this: new blog, added some plugins, now
when people try to comment on my posts they get an error message in
German. I can't get into my comments area in dashboard, says I do
not have permission. I'm using commentluv and intensedebate
plugins. Help! I'd love to have your service if there is tech
support for wordpress.org.

Hi @Baji:

The article is 2 years old...nevertheless, it sometimes helps to restate information if it can be useful to some folks, even if it is dated a bit.

Thanks for your feedback, especially regarding adding value by mentioning Google Voice, which did not exist when I first wrote this article.

No disrespect meant, but *72 & *73 have been around for a few
decades, I thought you were going to share something really new
& unique. If & when you can move your old verizon # over to
Google Voice, you will also be able to receive any incoming texts
on that # at your iPhone.

@Jan:

Sounds like you may have a corrupt WP install. I have 'sub-domain' and 'sub-folder' WP installs and they all work fine (with over 450 plugins installed! ...see http://SiteSubscribe.com). I would suggest re-installing WP.
